ROCKPORT — The Fire Department responded to a small fire early Sunday morning. Firefighters were called to 67A Curtis St. at 12:39 a.m., for an air conditioner engulfed in flames in a second-floor window. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and clear the scene; there were no reported injuries.
A Gloucester man was arrested after police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Main Street early Sunday.
Dominic M. Gusmano, 50, of 18 Willow St., Gloucester, was charged with drunken driving at 2:28 a.m.; according to the police report, it was Gusmano's third offense.
Nelson Edward Bragg Jr., 46, of 10153 Riverside Drive, Toluca Lake, Calif., was arrested at 1:41 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol, speeding and a marked lanes violation. Patrolman Daniel Mahoney made the arrest on Railroad Avenue.
