Gloucester Seafood Display Auction

The Gloucester Seafood Display Auction handled 26,200 pounds of fish Thursday.

The average price per pound of the top five species sold:

Market cod: 9,900 pounds ($1.32)

Striped bass: 3,800 pounds ($3.47)

Large cod: 2,400 pounds ($1.97 cents)

Bluefish: 2,300 pounds (82 cents)

Whole large monkfish: 1,700 pounds ($1.30)

Other landings

The Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford handled 78,900 pounds of fish yesterday.

The Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in Boston handled 16,700 pounds of fish yesterday.

No landings were reported yesterday by the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 51,700 pounds of fish Monday.
