A Gloucester man pleaded guilty yesterday to disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct in Gloucester District Court.

Fred Keene, 53, of the fishing boat Camano was fined $250 by Judge Joseph Jennings.

The charges stem from two arrests this year.

On Feb. 10, officers patroling Main Street at 9:55 p.m. reported that Keene, smelling of alcohol in the driver's seat of a parked car, became verbally abusive.

On July 2, at 7:50 p.m. officers said a similar incident occurred outside the Green Tavern on Main Street.

A 37-year-old Manchester man charged with possession of marijuana had his case continued without finding for six months yesterday in Gloucester District Court.

Kevin Laskowski of 56 The Plains was ordered to pay $50 in court costs.

Charges against Laskowski for driving an unregistered car were dismissed.

Laskowski was arrested Monday afternoon after an officer said he pulled Laskowski over on Southern Avenue for an expired registration sticker and found a small wooden box containing marijuana in his bag.

A 21-year-old Gloucester woman charged with larceny and uttering a false check had her case continued without finding for one year yesterday in Gloucester District Court.

Krystal Bergmann of 47 Patriots Circle was ordered to pay $3,860 to Rockport National Bank.

Gloucester police received a report from the bank on March 20 that Bergmann had deposited a check for $3,860 and then withdrew all the money over the next five days. The bank suspected the check was a forgery, the report said.
