Arrests Police arrested Erik Silva, 33, of 178 Essex Ave., after a traffic stop on Western Avenue at Middle Street yesterday at 1:16 a.m. Silva was charged with drunken driving. Incidents Police at 12:26 p.m. yesterday received a report of a man with a rifle walking along Maplewood Avenue. Officers responding determined that the man was a Gloucester High School student in the Junior ROTC program practicing drills. Police at 1:32 p.m. yesterday received a report that the front of a woman's car had been damaged by the crossing gate coming down at the railroad tracks at Washington Street. Police received a report Monday at 10:13 p.m. from a man who said he had been driving on Bennett Street when his window was blown out by a projectile. Officers investigating the incident did not find any evidence of a bullet, pellet, or any other projectile. No suspect was located and the incident is under investigation. A tractor-trailer truck entering Route 128 north on the Crafts Road ramp around 5 last night became stuck on ramp when the driver cut the turn too sharply and the trailer was hung up on the curb and grass. The ramp and one lane of Route 128 was closed and traffic was delayed while the truck, carrying frozen food, was towed.
