Arrests

Philip S. Howe, a 34-year-old homeless man from Gloucester, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Thursday and charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime. The arrest was made while police were conducting a building check on Main Street.

Incidents

Police received a report at 5:23 p.m. Thursday of a car that was broken into at Wingaersheek Beach.

An intoxicated man was said to be in the road on Washington Street chasing cars at 8:48 p.m. Thursday. Police, however, were unable to find the man.

A 3-year-old boy wearing only a diaper was found wandering around outside on Allen Street at 8:55 a.m. yesterday. While police were investigating, the boy's mother came out of her house and said she had woken up to find the child was missing. He was returned to her, but the state Department of Social Services was notified.

A break-in was reported at 50 Riverview Road at 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Fire record

Patients were taken to Addison Gilbert Hospital from Sheedy Park, Essex Avenue, Lowe Drive and Maplewood Avenue on Thursday, and from Bond Street, Webster Street, Bass Avenue and Gale Road yesterday.
