Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — A pair of Eastern Avenue neighbors have been ordered by police to stay away from each other.

It all started Saturday morning, when a resident of the street began using machinery on his property.

At 10:16 a.m., police received a complaint from a neighbor about the noise being made by a wood chipper or some other machinery the resident was running.

Officers spoke to the operator who agreed to shut the machinery down, although he was not required to do so.

Police were called back to Eastern Avenue when the neighbor came out onto the machine operator's property after he started working again and created a disturbance.

Police advised the two men to stay away from each other.
