MANCHESTER — A lobster boat with no one aboard sank off Gales Ledge Saturday, apparently just before 4 p.m.

The harbormaster boat was dispatched to investigate alongside the U.S. Coast Guard after Manchester police got the call at 3:47 p.m., but the harbormaster turned around shortly after being dispatched because of bad conditions. The Coast Guard continued the search once the harbormaster left.

At 10:34 p.m., Saturday, a noise complaint was filed on Central Street. A live band was playing and the musicians told the officer who responded they had finished their last song.

Emergency aid was requested on Eagle Head at 3:04 p.m. on Saturday. A male victim was transported to Beverly Hospital.

On Sunday, at 2:05 a.m., a man fell off his bike on Central Street. The man was intoxicated, police said, but suffered no injuries and an officer drove him home.

The Fire Department responded to a false alarm on Newport Park Sunday at 5:06 a.m.

The Fire Department also responded to a false alarm from a carbon monoxide detector on Tuck's Point Road yesterday at 10:24 a.m.
