Gloucester District Court

A Salem man was sentenced to jail time by Judge Joseph Jennings in Gloucester District Court yesterday after pleading guilty to two counts of assault and battery.

Joshua R. Taylor, 24, no known address, Salem, was sentenced to two years in jail with nine months to be served and the balance suspended for two years.

Taylor was arrested in September after he confronted a man and a woman at their apartment on Spring Street and threw them both to the ground, according to police reports.
