Gloucester District Court

Bruce P. Nichols, 21, of 76 North St., Georgetown, had assault and battery charges continued without a finding for six months in Gloucester District Court yesterday.

Nichols was arrested in May after police say he grabbed his 16-year-old brother by the throat at Jim's Bagel and Bake Shoppe while his brother was working behind the counter.

Jonathan Herro, 30, of 35 Cleveland St., Gloucester, had a charge of malicious destruction of property dismissed due to a failure to prosecute. The charge against Herro stems from a July incident.

Justin D. Barr, 20, of 13 Millet St., Gloucester, had a charge of disturbing the peace dismissed, pending his payment of $150 in court costs. Barr also had a charge of resisting arrest continued without a finding for three months.

Barr was arrested in July after failing to disperse a loud party at his apartment, according to police reports.
