Letter: Keep candidate's agenda off school board

To the editor:

Rockport School Committee candidate Jonathan Ring admittedly has little firsthand experience with public education — but more importantly may have his own agenda.

As the founder of the socially conservative and religion-based Cape Ann Marriage and Family, he just may feel that such bias belongs in our schools. I, however, as a parent of two children in the schools, do not.

So far, the present Rockport School Committee has worked hard to do more with less. Tighter budgets have made this present group of local citizens an even tighter and more productive bunch.

Please let's decisively re-elect both Brian Sullivan and Melissa Tingley for School Committee today and show them our appreciation for the value they place in our schools.

Martha Morgan
