Letter to the editor: Time to sweep congressman out of office

To the editor:

Congressman John Tierney should be voted out of office for gross negligence.

It appears he does not read major pieces of legislation before he votes for them. In February, he did not read the $800 billion Stimulus Bill before he, along with his liberal colleagues, voted for it. And last Friday, he voted for the Cap and Trade Bill, which will create the largest tax increase in America's history, before the bill was even written!

This is outrageous behavior and an example of political arrogance.

Congressman Tierney votes in lock step with the Democrat Party, rather than voting for the best interests of his constituents. If he were truly committed to reducing carbon emissions and helping us on the North Shore, he would have the interchange of Interstates 93 and 95 in the Stoneham area redesigned. Imagine the millions of gallons of gasoline wasted and the tons and tons of carbon that are emitted into the atmosphere by the long line of cars crawling to a standstill day after day after day.

It is time to clean house, so to speak, and elect people who will represent us and not their party.
