Letter to the editor: Boulevard flags: Long may they have

To the editor:

These people that oppose these beautiful flags, don't they realize that they represent their right to freedom and their right to express their opinion?

They could not do this in a third-world country! I grew up with different family members serving in the Navy, Air Force and Army — they have served in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Iraq — these flags are special to me.

I get goose bumps just looking at them (anywhere) and can hardly wait each year for them to go up, spaced at least 6 feet apart. I just can't see how they can block anyone's view.

My opinion is this is a free country, the flags represent that, and no one is forced to live here!
