Letter to the editor: Revisiting Rockport's Community House vote

To the editor:

Yes, we are concerned for the future of the Community House in Rockport,

But the initial presentation at Town Meeting was unclear, confusing, and needs revisiting.

We know our historical Community House needs basic repairs and restoration so that it can continue to serve all ages as it has done so well for so many years for school and church groups, sales, shows, rehearsals, plays, performances, meetings, dinners, suppers, fancy buffets and private parties.

Many of us feel that the purchase of the Granite Savings Bank would serve dual purposes: seniors on first floor only, with second floor for expansion of some town offices.

Why not? Try us all again on the town floor!
