WESTON - Allen J. Sutherland, 91, of Weston, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008. He was the beloved husband of the late Helyn (Boyd) Sutherland.
Born in Gloucester, he was the son of the late William J. and Mary E. (Allain) Sutherland. Allen attended Gloucester High School and achieved the rank of Cadet Colonel in the ROTC. His graduation portrait receiving his diploma is part of the mural in the Gloucester City Hall Auditorium. He then put himself through college, graduating from Amherst in 1940.
