Katie Gavin scored a hat trick while Jen Bishop (assist) and Amelia Burke (assist) tallied the other goals for the Hornets (11-1-1) in a romp. Amelia Cohen added an assist and goalie Heather Burgess made four saves to record the shutout.
Next up, Manchester Essex hosts unbeaten North Andover on Tuesday (3:45 p.m.) in a pivotal Cape Ann League matchup.

WILMINGTON 6, MANCHESTER ESSEX 0
The Hornets (1-4-5) were only down 2-0 at the half but eventually the Wildcats (9-1) took over in the second half. For Manchester Essex, sophomore center forward John Houston, senior captain and forward Peter Gudonis, junior center midfielder Greg Doyle and junior left wing Ryan Brewster played well despite the tough result.
ROckport 1, TRITON 1
The Vikings (3-5-4) led 1-0 for most of the game but surrendered the tying goal late in the second half. Sophomore midfielder Shaffy Roell scored early in the first half on a header, after a nice cross from junior striker Michael Emerson. Rockport defenders A.J. Burnham, Ethan Clarkson and Brendan Douglass all played well while midfielders Ben Clarkson and Kevin Corrigan were other notables.

The day after compiling its best point total of the season, Rockport (4-10) stumbled to its lowest score of the season. Competing at Carriage Pines in Rowley, the Vikings were led by Paul Robinson (22 points), Jeff Piraino (17), Phil MacArthur (15), Brendan Wall (11), Caleb Tanson (10) and Pat Frithsen (8).
