Fishermen get two all-stars

Two of Gloucester High's top field hockey players were named Northeastern Conference All-Stars.

Senior captain Brianna Aloisio and sophomore forward Hillary Ellis were chosen to represent the 5-9-2 Fishermen. Ellis and Aloisio powered the Gloucester offense throughout the season and were the team's top two scorers.

The Co-Coaches of the Year came from the top two finishers in the conference. Beverly's Tricia Brennan, who led the Panthers to the Northeastern Conference title with an 11-2-3 record, shared the award with Marblehead's Linda Rice-Collins, who led the Magicians to a 9-1-6 conference record.

Swampscott's Alex Wilson was named the Most Valuable Player of the conference while Danvers took home the Sportsmanship Award.
