Such is the case for Gloucester senior defenseman/midfielder Coltyn Rivas, who was named the Northeastern Conference North Defensive Most Valuable Player this week by the coaches of the conference.
Continued ...GLOUCESTER— Gloucester head boys lacrosse coach Drew Dominick did not like what he saw from his team in the first half of Wednesday's season finale against Manchester Essex at Newell Stadium.
The Fishermen and Hornets went into the half tied at 2-2 thanks to a goal from Jason Lattof with just two seconds to play in the frame and Dominick felt his team needed to play better.
GLOUCESTER— In its prior two losses, runs were at premium for the Gloucester Fishermen baseball team. After a four run first inning, the Fishermen looked poised to explode out of their slump in a big way. That wasn't the case, as Danvers pitcher Connor Kelleher didn't give up another run the rest of way in his team's 16-4 victory over Gloucester at Nate Ross Field. With the win, the Falcons crowned themselves Northeastern Conference South champions.
