The Hornets picked up a resounding win Friday. Cape Ann's leading scorer Chris Bishop once again led the Hornets with 26 points. Max Nesbit, Liam Aldrich and Joe Burgess each scored 12 for Manchester Essex.

Manchester Essex moves to 9-1 and needs just one more win to qualify for the state tournament after a big win over a Division 4 tournament team on the road Saturday.
Senior captains Chris Bishop and Joe Burgess led the scoring with 22 and 20 points respectively. Max Nesbit added 13 and Sean Nally 11. Burgess hit six three pointers for the Hornets, who can clinch a tournament berth as soon as Tuesday when they host Masconomet in a Cape Ann League showdown.

The Vikings (1-10) had a rough first half but outscored the Chieftains 27-23 in the second half Friday. AJ Balzarini powered the Vikings offense with 10 points, Tucker Meredith chipped in 8.

The Fishermen move to 7-4 with the win Friday and are creeping closer to a tournament berth. Heather Cain broke out of a scoring slump in a big way leading all scorers with 20 points, Audrey Knowlton chipped in 15 for the victorious Fishermen.

The Vikings (3-7) surpassed last season's win total by erasing a 10 points fourth quarter deficit Friday. Heather MacArthur led the Rockport offense with 13 points including seven clutch fourth quarter points. Amanda Chalmers had nine and Abby Hood six for the victorious Vikings.
