Girls Soccer
Gloucester 3 Revere 2
Gloucester got a goal from Bianca Giacalone, her second of the game, with 15 minutes to play to break a 2-2 tie and give the team its third straight win. Gloucester has nearly dug itself out of an early season hole as its record stands at 3-4-1.
Elle Wierbicky had a goal and an assist for Gloucester. Kali Cook, Katie Ciaramitaro and Laura Johnson also played well in the win.
Newburyport 4 Rockport 0
The Vikings (2-7) played hard but could not overcome a strong CAL Large team in the Clippers. Meghan Tupper and Shelby Gale, starting in goal for the first time, played well for Rockport.
Boys Soccer
Revere 2 Gloucester 1
The Fishermen fall to 4-4-2 with the loss. Alex Davis scored Gloucester’s lone goal in the second half. Jason Vizena and Sean Gillon also played well for Gloucester.
Golf
Manchester Essex 147 Lynnfield 144
The Hornets move to 9-2 with a highly competitive match against Lynnfield Thursday. The win was extremely important for Manchester Essex because the Pioneers could have tied them for first place with a win. Instead the Hornets move two games up in the CAL Small.
Ben Bichet led the way for Manchester Essex with 32 points including an eagle after holing a shot from the fairway on a par 4. Josh Christopher had 26 points, Cam Tuttle 23 points, Kevin Carter 22 and Will Burgess chipped in 21 points.
Field Hockey

The Hornets move to 10-0 with a strong all around effort against a CAL large team. Brittany Smith scored the games’ lone goal while Maddi Bistrong was great in goal earning her sixth shutout of the season.
