Crunch Time

Pacquiao pushed back

Manny Pacquiao's super fight with Timothy Bradley tonight has been pushed back. Not days or weeks, but hours or even minutes.

The reason? Pacquiao is a huge Celtics fan and does not want to miss a minute of Celtics vs. Heat game 7 tonight in Miami. Promoter Bob Arum confirmed the news today.

Won't Have Another

I guess there is little reason to watch today's Belmont Stakes unless of course you are one of the few die hard horse racing fans. Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another, who was the favorite at the Belmont and would have been attempting to be the first horse to win the triple crown since 1978, has withdrawn from today's race with an injury to his left front tendon.

I'll Have Another was a 4/5 favorite before retiring from racing yesterday and was hoping to become the first horse since Affirmed to win the Triple Crown. Instead the drought will extend to 34 years without a triple crown winner.

Classy Garden

Although the Celtics laid an egg in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals Thursday, Celtics fans in attendance at the TD Garden still gave the team a nice sendoff.

In the waning seconds, chants of "Lets Go Celtics" reigned throughout the crowd and the team was cheered as it left the court.

This was a fitting and intelligent tribute to the team. While we all hope this wasn't the last "Big 3 Era" game at the Garden, it very well could have been, and to send this team off with anything short of a standing ovation would have been a disservice to the effort and production they put forth over the last five seasons.

This season they deserve a ton of credit for making it this far. Win or lose tomorrow every Celtics fan knows this team isn't going down without putting it all on the line, and Celtics fans appreciate that.
