The Rockport softball team improved to 8-0 Friday with a 9-0 win over Triton. Kristin Turner picked up the win on the mound going the distance allowing just five hits. Mollie Watson led the offense with three hits and two RBIS. Gabby Muniz and Hannah Lorden had three hits each.

The Hornets fall to 3-5 with the loss. Nicole Bradley led the offense with two hits including a solo home run, Bailey Graves also had two hits for Manchester Essex.

Hayle Labreque led Gloucester with three goals on the game. Melodie Orrell, Julienne Orrell and Tess Destino each had a pair of goals. Kenna O'Maley also played well in the defensive midfield with a team high nine ground balls.

The Clippers broke open a 6-4 halftime lead while the Hornets remain winless. Jeff White had two goals for Manchester Essex, goalie Alex Taliaferro had 14 saves.
