Junior lefty Lenny Taormina allowed just one run over six plus innings while striking out six to pick up the win while Ben Favazza shut the door for the save improving Gloucester's record to 7-3 on the season.
Santo Parisi powered the offense with a two run home run while Vinny Terranova and Jason Vizena had RBI hits. Kyle Lucido also added two hits for the Fishermen.
"This was an important win and the team's starting to believe that they can play with anybody," Gloucester head coach Joe Orlando said.

Suspect defense led to three unearned runs for Northeast in the one run win dropping Rockport's record to 4-3 in the process. Freshman Steven Ryan pitched well in his first varsity start going four innings and allowing just four hits. Mike Tupper had two of Rockport's three hits on the afternoon.

The Vikings, who move to 9-1 with the victory, got production all over the order as every starter had at least two hits and an RBI. Hannah Lorden and Kristin Turner powered the offense with three hits and three RBIs respectively. Mollie Watson and Kayla Parisi had two hits and a two run home run each while Kendra Adams and Gabby Muniz had two hits and three RBIs each.

The Hornets remain win-less after Tuesday's defeat. John Beardsley and Nick Douglass scored the Hornets goals while Chris Dumont and Austin Lyne played well on the defensive end. Goalie Alex Taliaferro had 11 saves.
