GAMES TO WATCH

Marblehead (1-0) at St. Mary’s (1-0), tonight 5 p.m.: The Spartans handled Cambridge a week ago and are hosting last year’s NEC/CAL Tier 2 champs in the first meeting between these programs. Marblehead’s Zac Cuzner scored three TDs in last week’s win over Pentucket and the Magicians are looking to keep momentum going in this rare early Friday evening game.



Central Catholic (1-0) at St. John’s Prep (1-0), tomorrow, 1:30: The Eagles are flying high after demolishing Dracut last week, but a meeting with their Merrimack Valley brethren will quickly bring their focus to the present. The last three meetings between these teams have been decided by one point and the just two of the last 20 have been decided by more than two touchdowns. Expect a tight, entertaining home opener for the Prep.

ON THE AIR

The Gloucester vs. Andover game Friday night will be broadcast on MSO Web Radio at moorestuffonline.com Friday (7:00 p.m.). MSO Web Radio will also be broadcasting the Marblehead vs. St. Mary’s (5:00 p.m.) and Wakefield vs. Lynn English (7:00 p.m.) on Friday along with the Beverly vs. Lynn Classical game on Saturday (1:00 p.m.).
