Crunch Time

Sox Rolling?

Even though its only a three-game winning streak, it's something newsworthy for a Red Sox team that is four games below .500. The Sox received quality starts from Felix Doubront and Josh Bard, which is hopefully a sign that the Sox pitching staff is turning it around. Boston hosts the Mariners for a two-game set before traveling to Tampa Bay and Philadelphia for five tough games against the Rays and Phillies. It is imperative for the Sox to get some momentum before heading into those contests.

No Peace Treaty

Los Angeles Laker's forward Metta World Peace has made it clear that he doesn't want to shake Oklahoma City's James Harden's hand after throwing an intentional elbow to Harden's head that gave him a concussion with two games left in the regular season. World Peace was cited as saying "I don't shake substitutes' hands." World Peace has yet to contact Harden directly and has no plans to even acknowledge him when the two teams meet in Game 1 tonight. Another class-act gesture from Ron Artest, I mean Metta World Peace.

Happy Mother's Day

New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora sent out his Mother's Day regards to Philadelphia Eagles running back Lesean McCoy on Twitter to rekindle the feud between the two that started last summer. Last summer McCoy tweeted that Umenyiora was "overrated" and "soft." Umenyiora tweeted back, referring to McCoy as "Lady Gaga" and "she." Two points for Umenyiora and his creativity with his latest "Happy Mothers Day Lesean Mccoy. Enjoy your special day!!" tweet.
