The Vikings improved to 2-3 on the year with what coach Steve O’Connor deemed their best team effort of the year. Rockport was led by double-doubles from Sarah Rowand (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Molly Watson (10 points, 10 rebounds), while junior captain Heather MacArthur led the team in scoring with 15 points. Sophomore forward Kayla Parisi added 13 points and nine rebounds of her own.

Bedford 2, Rockport 0
In a rematch of last year’s Division 3 North semifinals, Rockport saw the same result when it traveled to Bedford yesterday. It was a far cry from the 6-2 drubbing in the tournament last year, though, as Rockport battled Bedford to the end before surrendering an empty-net goal to seal the game. With the loss, Rockport falls to 1-3 on the year, and will face off with Bedford again next Wednesday.
