Gloucester 43.5 Marblehead 42.5
It takes 43 points to win a Northeastern Conference track meet and Gloucester came through with 43.5 against a tough Marblehead squad Wednesday.
“It’s nice to get a win against a tough team that has given us some trouble over the last few years,” Gloucester head coach Jeff Destino said.
The Fishermen, who move to 3-2 with the win and finish the Northeastern Conference South schedule in second place, received first place finishes from Matt Carpenter (600, 1:29.1; high jump, 5’3”), Everest Crawford (1,000, 2:47.6), Jacob Holscher (mile, 4:48.9), and Noah Mondello (2-mile, 11:10.01).
