Napoli set to debut

On Friday Red Sox fans are finally going to get the chance to see Mike Napoli in uniform. After a hip injury forced the Sox to rework his contract from a three-year $39M contract to a one year $3M deal, Napoli will take the field for the first time on Friday and will be playing first base.

If he stays healthy Napoli could be a key piece in the middle of the Sox batting order. As a visitor with the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Napoli put up big numbers at Fenway Park as his powerful right handed bat is taylor made for the ballpark’s short left field porch.
