Hornets clinch third straight CAL title

With the win Manchester Essex clinches the Cape Ann League title for the third straight season despite the fact that they are the second smallest school in the league. Chris Bishop powered the offense with 20 points, Max Nesbit had 17 and Sean Nally had 14 points and Joe Burgess had 18 points on six three pointers in the win. The win moves Manchester Essex to 15-2 on the year and is the second time in as many games that it surpassed the 90 point mark.

The Big Blue, who are fighting for a playoff berth, came out on fire and did not look back. Gloucester falls to 1-15 with the loss and got good games from Jason Vizena (15 points), Kyle Lucido (eight points) and Freshman Drew Muniz (six points). Gloucester was also playing without all of its size as David St. Peter and Drew Shairs each missed the game due to an illness.
