Ribbon Cutting

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Joan Norton Tennis Center located at the Manchester Athletic Club on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.

The Boston Lobsters of World Team Tennis will play their home matches at the new complex. The team opens up play on Sunday, July 7 (6:00 p.m.).

Agganis All Stars

Several locals have been selected to play in the Agganis All Star games, which started over the weekend at Fraser Field and Manning Field in Lynn and run through the week. The Agganis All Star games pit the best athletes on the North Shore against one another.

Cory Burnham and Max Nesbit of Manchester Essex played in the baseball classic on Sunday. Gloucester’s Sophie Black and Katie Ciaramitaro squared off with Ella Silag-Stearns and Evy Weihs of Manchester Essex in the girls basketball game last night.

Gloucester’s Austin Titus will play in the boys lacrosse game tonight (7:30) while Rockport’s Conor Douglass and Matt Rostowski will play for head coach Dave Curley in the boys soccer game on Wednesday. Kali Cook and Bianca Giacalone will play in the girls soccer game on Wednesday. Gloucester’s Mark Horgan will square off against Manchester Essex’s John Beardsley and Burnham in the football classic Thursday night.
