Cape Ann Youth Wrestling

Cape Ann Youth Wrestling is accepting registration for interested athletes from kindergarten through high school ages. Fee is $100 per person and practices run Tuesdays and Thursdays at the O’Maley Middle School auxiliary gymnasium, registration is still available.

Participants will be split into three groups K-third grade, fourth-eighth grade and high school. Practice will run from 4:30-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and will be split into sessions for each age group.

Cape Ann Youth Lacrosse Adaptive Lacrosse Program

Cape Ann Youth Lacrosse has created an Adaptive Lacrosse Program designed to provide girls and boys with physical, learning and/or cognitive disabilities the chance to learn the game of lacrosse in an appropriate environment. The program will be open to participants ages 8-14.

The CAYL Adaptive Lacrosse Program is the first of its kind in Massachusetts and is open to all communities.

The program will be structured to have middle and high school lacrosse players from the local community area teamed as a “buddy” or “mentor” to each participant to assist in adapting the skills and teaching methods to the needs of each participant’s ability and specific requirements. Equipment and rules will also be modified if necessary.

Cape Ann Skating Club Holiday Winter Festival

The Cape Ann Skating Club’s Holiday Winter Festival is Saturday, Dec., 8 at the Talbot Rink (11:00 a.m.).

Admission is free and the festival will feature an exhibition by all of Cape Ann Figure Skating Club’s skaters. There will be free hot cocoa and baked goods for same. There will be arts and crafts and a used skate sale form 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. there will be a family skate for $5 per family.
