GAMES TO WATCH

Salem (2-1) at Revere (3-0) tonight at DellaRusso Stadium, 7 p.m.: If the Witches are truly intent on showing they're for real this fall, this is a game they need to win. A staunch defensive effort, similar to the one turned in last week during a road win at Archbishop Williams, could knock the host Patriots from the ranks of the unbeaten.

###

St. John's Prep (2-1) at Brockton (2-1) tonight at Marciano Stadium, 7 p.m.: Do they move forward with a big road win, or take another step back after a second straight loss? That's the quandry that the Eagles face tonight after falling at Everett six days ago. The host Boxers have already beaten two of the Prep's Catholic Conference brethren (B.C. High & Xaverian), so expect tonight's contest to be a slugfest.

###

Danvers (2-1) at Saugus (2-1) tomorrow at Stackpole Field, 1 p.m.: Speaking of bouncing back, can the visiting Falcons do so after two strong performances to open 2012 were followed by a dud at Pentucket last week? Coach Sean Rogers vowed everyone, from players to coaches, would be better prepared and more focused this week; we'll find out for sure tomorrow afternoon.
