Ratings smash
Sunday's Pats-Giants Super Bowl became the most-watched TV program in history as 111.3 million people turned in on average to beat the previous best, last year's NFL title game, by around 300,000 viewers.
The rating spiked in the last half-hour of the game as 117 million were tuned in for the exciting finale.
The star-studded halftime show became the most-watched ever as a performance from Madonna drew 114 million.
Perkins not happy
It looks like Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins is not happy that Lebron James tweeted about Blake Griffins monstrous dunk over the former Celtic last week.
James tweeted, "Dunk of the Year! @blakegriffin just dunked on Kendrick Perkins so hard!!! Wow! I guess I'm No. 2 now. Move over #6.
To which Perkins replied, "You don't see Kobe (Bryant) tweeting. You don't see Michael Jordan tweeting. If you're an elite player, plays like that don't excite you."
Guess there is still some bad blood left over from the old Celtics and Cavs rivalry.
Knowshon has no clue
Talk about drawing attention to yourself.
According to KDVR-31 in Denver, injured Denver running back Knowshon Moreno was pulled over Feb. 1 for driving around 70 m.p.h. on Interstate 25. The posted speed limit is usually 65 mph but was lowered to 45 due to construction.
Moreno's car had a vanity plate that read "SAUCED," which was fitting because the former Georgia star failed a field sobriety test and a breath test. He was taken to a detox facility after being charged with DUI, careless driving and failure to have insurance.
His arraignment is set for March 2.
