The GHS Boys Lacrosse team is selling coupon books with over $500 worth of savings throughout Cape Ann with additional on line savings. The cost is $20 per book. Young Legends Street Hockey is celebrating its 10 year Anniversary! Students in the 4th-8th grade are invited to play in the 2013 season this summer. The league runs from June-August, and games are played on Saturday mornings at the Stage Fort Park basketball court in Gloucester. The league features seven regular season games, double-elimination playoffs, two skill sessions, one strength and conditioning workout, and a 7th/8th Grade vs. Coaches game.

There will be a prospect game held on Saturday, June 8 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. The league will also be conducting a minicamp on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. The program costs $40 and the mini camp is an additional $20. The 2013 Gloucester Post 3 Sr. Legion team will hold a tryout on Sunday, May 5th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Nate Ross Field (O’Maley School) in Gloucester. Legion baseball is available for players between the ages of 14-19. This year Gloucester will only field a Sr. Legion team and not a Jr. Program. Registration will take place for the tryout starting at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the tryout at Nate Ross Field. All questions should be sent to Gerald MacKillop at Post 3 is available for residents of Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester and Essex.


Teams are wanted for The Inaugural O’Maley Spring Flag Football Game, which will take place on May 18 at Nate Ross Field with all proceeds going to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Cost is $10 per player, donations are also welcome.

Games will be played 5-on-5 format, sideline to sideline.
