The Cape Ann Pee Wee football team crowned new champions Sunday afternoon with the Manchester Essex junior Hornets, the West Gloucester Chargers and the Hampden Hill Tigers coming away with their respective championships.
In the A-Team game, the Hampden Hill Tigers finished off a perfect 11-0 season with a dominant 38-8 win over the Chargers. The Tigers, led on offense by Cody Harwood, led the game wire-to-wire.
Although they lost the A-Team game, the Chargers came away with a 38-19 win over the East Gloucester Vikings in the B-Team game. The Chargers found themselves knotted at 19 in the second half but were able to come away with a win thanks to three unanswered touchdowns.
The Manchester Essex junior Hornets came away with the C-Team championship and finished off an undefeated season with a win over the Riverdale Rockets in Sunday afternoon's first game.
