Just as the Gloucester football team dominated teams on the football field this season, they dominated the list of Northeastern Conference All Stars with a conference high eight players being named to the team.
Gloucester head coach Paul Ingram was named Northeastern Conference Large Coach of the year and assistant coach Mark Harrington was named NEC Large assistant coach of the year.
Gloucester had three offensive players named in senior running back Taylor Burbine, sophomore tight end Chris Unis, and senior offensive tackle Dylan Morrissey. On the defensive side, the Fishermen had five representatives in junior lineman Gus Margiotta, senior lineback Marc Alves, senior linebacker Rob Lowe, senior defensive back Ross Carlson and senior defensive back Dylan Maki.
Melikke Van Alstyne of Salem and Chris Cameron of Swampscott have been named MVPs for the Northeastern Conference's North and South divisions, respectively, as the conference announced its annual all-star teams.
Van Alstyne rushed for 1,624 yards and 17 touchdowns this fall while setting new school records for rushing attempts, rushing yards, total touchdowns and total points in a career.
