---- — Rondo’s Record
The Celtics game notes recently had an interesting note on point guard Rajon Rondo.
It stated: “Rondo recorded 20 assists against the Raptors on Nov. 17 and it marked the sixth time in his career that he has surpassed the 20 assist mark. .. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Rondo has more games with 20 or more assists than all of the other players in Celtics history combined: Bob Cousy (2), Sherman Douglas (2) and Nate Archibald (1).”
Ravens linebacker talks, apologizes
Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo did not mince words when blasting the Patriots on twitter during the Patriots 41-28 win over Houston Sunday.
Ayanbadjo sent out several tweets ripping the team’s hurry up offense and its history.
“New England does some suspect stuff on offense. Can’t really respect it. Comparable to a cheap shot b4 a fight,” he tweeted.
“You know the same organization that did spygate and cut a guy the day b4 the Super Bowl,” he later tweeted.
There were a few more tweets ripping into the Patriots but Ayanbadejo apologized on Monday.
“I made selfish comments on twitter last night that reflected poorly upon myself, my teammates, and the organization. For that I apologize,” he wrote.
Predictably the Patriots declined to comment on anything Ayanbadejo said.
Apparently the NHL lockout will not deter Boston fans from seeing their beloved Bruins.
The team’s Black and Gold intersquad scrimmage tonight at the TD Garden has sold out, as the Bruins made tickets to the contest free.
Every player on the Bruins’ training camp roster and several players from the Providence Bruins, the team’s minor league affiliate, will participate in the scrimmage.
