The Vikings (3-5) were plagued by turnovers in their second loss to Greater Lowell this season. Kayla Parisi led the Vikings with eight points, Heather MacArthur chipped in seven.

Locals power St. John’s Prep track

A pair of Gloucester natives has big night’s for the St. John’s Prep track team in Tuesday’s 57-38 win over previously unbeaten BC High.

Junior Evan Dombrowski took home first place in the shot put with a throw of 51’6”.

The junior, who finished third in the shot put in last year’s All State meet as a sophomore, currently holds the second best throw in the state of 53’10”.

Junior Josh Hubbell also had a big day for the Eagles with a second place finish in the 300m with a time of 37.87.
