The Hornets move to 6-12 on the year with the win over their Cape Ann counterparts at Manchester Essex High School Thursday. The game served as a tournament tune up for the postseason bound Hornets, who were led by Sam Taylor’s season high 11 points. Ella Silag-Stearns had 10 points and Carolyn Heslop had nine.
Rachel Haselgard led the way for Rockport with 10 points while Kayla Parisi and Heather MacArthur chipped in seven points each. Head coach Steve O’Connor also praised the play of Ali Davis, who had six points and several key rebounds.
