Football

The Gloucester High School football team is looking for sponsors for the 2009 championship rings. the price right now is $200 per ring, and with the help and support of local businesses and private donations we will be able to supplicate the costs of the ring. If we do reach our goal of having all the rings paid for, the remaining donations will be sent to the GFAA in an attempt to lower the cost of user fees.

Coaching Openings

Gloucester High School is looking for a boys junior varsity lacrosse coach for the spring season and a boys varsity soccer coach for the fall. For more information, please contact Athletic Director Kim Patience at 978-281-9877.

Baseball

There will be a Baseball Coaches Clinic at Rockport High School on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. The clinic will feature Jason Larocque, a North Shore Native and Member of the 2005 and 2006 Boston Red Sox. For more info, e-mail John Parisi at jparisi@rockport.k12.ma.us.

The Gloucester Legion team is looking for someone to run the 2010 team. It is urgent that a person is found soon, otherwise the 2010 season is in jeopardy of not fielding a Gloucester-based team. If interested, contact David Quinn at 978-559-1497.

Basketball

The¬ Mass. Huskies AAU¬ Basketball organization announces its spring tryouts.¬ The North Shore tryout will be held Saturday, Feb. 13 at Lynnfield High School (275 Essex St, Lynnfield, MA); 5th-7th grade¬ (6-7:30 p.m.), 8th-10th grade (7:30-9 p.m.).
