The Fishermen move to 4-2-2 on the year with an important win over a strong Northeastern Conference Large opponent in Beverly.

Cal Cosgrove scored what turned out to be the game winner when he put home a Jason Vizena

Head coach

Art Simms also credited the play of Andrew Gossom at center back, Vizena on the defensive end and goal keeper Patrick Kelley, who earned a shutout.

Rockport 2

North Reading 1

The Vikings (6-1) did something they could not do the last three years, top North Reading. To make matters even more impressive Rockport pulled off the win on the road.

Freshman Andrew Wayrynen put the Vikings up in the first half when his cross deflected off of a North Reading defender and into the goal. Later in the first Shaun Aspesi put home a pass from Jon Ferrante after the two exchanged several passes between each other down the field. Head coach Dave Curley

called the goal “the prettiest the team has had all season.”

Eric Littlefield

was labeled the man of the match by his coach as he notched four big saves in the second half from point blank range and fielded another six crosses in the box.
