Rockport Police/Fire: Rockport cracks down on speeding

ROCKPORT — Police issued a speeding citation to a motorist on Thatcher Road Thursday at 2 p.m., and officers stopped other drivers for allegedly speeding as well.

Officers said motorists on Granite Street were given verbal warnings for speeding Thursday, one by Halibut Point State Park at 11:44 a.m. and another near the corners of Curtis and Granite Streets at 12:03 p.m.

Police said a woman was taken from Kitefield Road to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester just after 4 p.m. Thursday.
