Manchester Police/Fire: Worcester woman charged with DUI

Manchester Police/Fire:

MANCHESTER — Police arrested a Worcester woman Sunday morning around 8:17 a.m. for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol on Route 128 southbound.

According to police, Dina Moretti-Trapasso, 53, of June Street, Worcester is facing charges of DUI and a marked lane violation — that latter being why she was initially stopped.

Police also arrested a Saugus man for driving without a license and driving an uninsured vehicle on Union Street just before 9 p.m.

Police said James Amirault, 36, of Second Street, Saugus, was stopped after police checked his license plate.

Police responded to a report of teenagers yelling on Church Street Friday around 8 p.m., but officers said they could not find anyone when they arrived at the scene.

Friday around 10:45 p.m. a call reporting trespassers on Sandpiper Lane prompted police response, but they’d apparently fled before police arrived. The caller had reported hearing glass being broken, and officers did find broken bottles at the scene, but no alleged perpetrators.

A deer was struck and killed on a southbound ramp to Route 128 Saturday around 6:45 p.m. Police said the car sustained minor damage.
