A shot for the season

Local health boards hosting flu shot clinics

This isn’t just the season called fall or autumn, it isn’t just the harvest season and — with all due apologies to Red Sox fans — it’s more than just baseball’s postseason, too.

It’s also the dawn of the flu season, and communities across Cape Ann are providing flu shot clinics — just like this one, held Tuesday afternoon at Manchester’s Town Hall.

In that vein, the Cape Ann Emergency Planning Team and the Cape Ann boards of health are offering the following free flu clinics in our area communities:

Thursday — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Essex Senior Center, 17 Pickering St., Essex.

Thursday — 2 to 5:30 p.m. at Gloucester City Hall, 9 Dale Ave., Gloucester.

Thursday, Oct. 24 — 3 to 6 p.m. at BankGloucester, 160 Main St., Gloucester.

Saturday, Oct. 26 — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Essex Fire Station, 24 Martin St., Essex.

Tuesday, Nov. 5 — 4 to 7 p.m. at First Ipswich Bank, 8 Martin St., Essex.

Thursday, Nov. 14 — 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cafe at Addison Gilbert Hospital, 298 Washington St., Gloucester.
