Gloucester Police/Fire

A MedFlight helicopter transported a Gloucester man who had fallen from a 20-foot ladder Tuesday about 4:15 p.m., from the O’Maley landing spot to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

According to Gloucester Police, the 38 year old man had fallen while painting a home on Honeysuckle Road; the homeowner heard the crash and found him on the ground.

He was conscious and alert, but due to the nature of his fall, he was transported to the hospital, police said.

An officer checking on a false alarm at a bank observed a wanted man walking on Middle Street and arrested a 29-year-old Maplewood Avenue resident.

Michael Todd Jr. was placed in a holding cell for the default court warrant after his arrest.
