Gloucester Fire Department add to ranks

The Gloucester Fire Department has hired several new firefighters and paramedics recently.

The new hires were sworn in by Mayor Carolyn Kirk during a Public Safety Badge Ceremony held Thursday at City Hall. The new firefighter-paramedics are Kyle Benson, David Elwell, Dean DeCoste, Andrew Pierce, Patrick Legro, Wellington Machado, Joshua Severance.

Commendations were also presented by Chief Eric Smith.
