Comedian is guest at Chamber women's group luncheon

The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Businesswomen’s Committee will be hosting their annual fall lunch Wednesday — and will be looking to share a few laughs as well.

The event, slated for noon at the Castle Manor Inn at 141 Essex Ave., will feature comedian and actress Patty Ross as guest speaker.

Ross has performed at the annual Gloucester Rotary Comedy Night and appeared in three movies, “HBO’s Clear History” with Larry David, Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups 2,” and the Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy comedy “The Heat.”

She has also hobnobbed with Dick Cavett at the Nantucket Comedy Festival, and has previously performed at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, the Plymouth Comedy Festival, and others.

In 2012, she appeared in Adam Sandler’s “That’s My Boy” and the Farrelly Brothers’ “The Three Stooges.”

Ross’s presentation will focus on her career growth over the years and how she got to where she is today.

Tickets for members are priced at $40, or at $50 for future members. Registration and check-in are set to begin at 11:30 am.

For more information or to RSVP for the event, contact Emily Harris at or call the Cape Ann Chamber at 978-283-1601.
