Essex Police/Fire: Traffic stop nets wanted man

Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — When police stopped an Ipswich man on John Wise Avenue at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday they found he was wanted.

William Brooks, 38, of School Street in Ipswich faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, in connection with the Essex stop and was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police did not indicate the initial charge on the warrant.

Tuesday just after 9 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Story Street.

Two women told police they went to a house to retrieve some property; one person involved claimed they were pushed.

Police said no one was taken to the hospital, no charges were filed, and the issue was resolved.

A female was taken by the Fire Department’s ambulance squad to Beverly Hospital on Wednesday around 9:15 a.m.
