---- — A 69-year-old Veterans Way resident who struck two parked vehicles was arrested for drunken driving after allegedly trying to leave the area of the crash Wednesday about 9:35 p.m.

Gloria J. Klyce, whose vehicle collided with two vehicles on Maplewood Avenue, told police she drank six light beers and had taken pills before driving. She failed a sobriety test and declined to perform others because her legs were hurting. At the police station, Klyce agreed to a Breathalyzer, saying “I’ll take the test, I’ll take the Hail Mary. “But she was unable to complete the test, and Police entered a Breathalyzer refusal in the system and suspended her license.

Paramedics checked on two men, both reported as “men down,” outside Railroad Avenue Liquors Wednesday about 5 p.m. Emergency personnel cleared the scene once the men seemed OK.

A police officer transported a dog and its owner to a veterinary hospital after the dog collapsed at Good Harbor Beach Wednesday at about 11 a.m.
