Essex Police/Fire: Company’s delivery van stolen

ESSEX — Owners of a Main Street business called police at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday to report that their delivery van had been stolen sometime within the previous 48 hours.

Police described the vehicle as a red Ford Econoline van, with the company name painted on the side.

At 2:47 p.m. Wednesday, someone turned in a pocketbook at the police station. Police made arrangements to notify the owner and return the item.
