Gloucester Police/Fire: Two men charged after gun call

Gloucester Police/Fire:

Two city men were arrested for disorderly conduct Thursday at a Main Street apartment after engaging in an argument that police thought involved a gun.

Main Street business employees phoned police at 2:05 p.m. to report an argument involving a gun, as the employees gestured toward the apartment at 159 Main St. and passersby looked on.

Police eventually arrested 29-year-old Michael Krizanek and Jerome Javier Ross, 34, both of whom live at the Main Street apartment.

According to the police report, responding officers heard the two say “What are you going to do, shoot me”? and “I swear to God, I’m not lying.”

Both are being charged with disturbing the peace, but the police report does not indicate that either had a firearm when arrested.

Lynn and Gloucester police officers arrested a Gloucester man in Lynn on an arrest warrant Thursday at 10:18 a.m.

According to the police report, Ronald Nelson, 40, of School Street, was arrested on three outstanding warrants stemming from a larceny investigation where he was involved in a “check kiting” scheme at Cape Ann Savings Bank in Gloucester. He is set to go through court proceedings in Lynn.

Police are investigating an apparent burglarly on Essex Avenue.

According to police, a man reported to police Thursday at 12:31 p.m. that someone had entered his home in the past month and took about $2,500 in cash.

A slew of Halloween tricks kept police busy Thursday.

At 1:38 p.m., police received information that a Perkins Street juvenile planned to smash windows using bricks; the youth denied the claims.

Just past 7 p.m., police caught four kids spraying each other with shaving cream and hitting cars on Main Street, police confiscated 12 cans of shaving cream.

More shaving cream antics were reported on Harrison Street where children were apparently also spraying cars. Police found no one when they arrived.
